The Financial Officer and Internal Auditor Recruitment and Development (FORD/IARD) Program
FORD/IARD is an unparalleled opportunity. This national program, managed by the Office of the Comptroller General of Canada, recruits and develops university graduates for entry-level positions in financial management and internal audit in government departments and agencies across Canada.
As a FORD/IARD trainee, you will receive both formal and practical training. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas. Financial officers work in systems development, accounting operations and financial planning and analysis. Internal auditors receive training in areas such as value-for-money, compliance, and comprehensive audits.
You will be supported and encouraged to work toward a professional designation such as the CMA, CGA, or CIA. Your work experience gained through FORD/IARD will qualify you for your chosen designation’s practical work requirement.
